Kuwait announced today 527 new Covid19 positive cases, 675 recovery, 5 deaths, for a total of 36,958 cases, 28,206 recovery and 303 deaths, recovery rate is 76.3% and deaths 0.82%.
Indian community Covid19 positive cases exceeded today 10 thousand, with a total of 10,003 after recording 85 new cases between contacts and under epidemiological investigation, and 6,241 cases recorded in May by 76.7% of total and 208 daily average.
The cases announced in Kuwait up to today included 47 nationalities, Indian community in the first place with by 27% of total, followed by Kuwaitis by 25.7%, Unspecified nationalities by the Ministry of Health 18.2%.
In comparison between today’s numbers with June 5, there was a decreasing in the Indian community cases by 2.5% and 4.1%increasing among Kuwaitis.

Compared to last report om May 25, all rates increased, new cases by 4,225 case, recovery rate by 8.7% and deaths rate by 0.03%.

Comparing today’s figures with the numbers published in our last report on May 10, there is a 2.6% decrease in the cure rate (was 31.4%) and a 0.07% increase in the death rate (was 0.66%).

Today, the Indian community’s cases exceeded the two thousand mark with total of 2090, after recording 93 contacts today, while no new cases were recorded within the epidemiological investigation since 10 days ago, or any travel-related case since 7 days ago, the total cases distributed between 2010 contacts, 76 under epidemiological investigation 4 travel-related came to Kuwait 2 from India, 1 Egypt, 1 France and 12 deaths.

The month of April 2020 ended with a total of 4,024 cases of coronavirus in Kuwait, the recovery of 1539 and the death of 26, bringing the cure rates to 38.2% and the death to 0.0064%.
Kuwait recorded the first case of coronavirus on February 24 for a Kuwaiti returnee from Iran. The infections to date included 44 nationalities, the highest being the Indian community at 1894, 47% of the total, then the Kuwaitis 679 by 16.8%, the Egyptian community 425 by 10.5%, the Bangladeshi community 404 by 10%, Pakistani community 148 by 0.03%.

Today, Kuwait recorded 164 cases of coronavirus, the highest in one day, 6 of which are under investigation and 158 contacts, bringing the total number to 1915, compared to 305 cures and 7 deaths since February 24, 2020.
The infected included 30 nationalities, the highest being the Indian community with 1085 around 57% of the total, Kuwaitis 338, Bangladeshi community 149, Egyptian community 141, Pakistani community 57.
The number of deaths due to Coronavirus in Kuwait reached 7 cases, including 3 Kuwaitis, 2 from the Indian community, one from Bangladeshi community, and one from Iranian community, at a rate of 0.003%.
The Indian community is the highest population in Kuwait after the citizens, where its members reach nearly one million residents, making up 21 percent of the 4.7 million people living in Kuwait, including 1.4 million Kuwaitis.
Kuwait had previously recorded more than 100 cases in one day, 5 days, April 6, 109 cases, April 8, 112, April 16, 119, April 17, 134, and April 11, 161. The increase in cases in April shows the size of the virus outbreak, which prompted the government to isolate Jleeb Al-Shuyoukh and Mahboula areas totally and take decisions to isolate buildings to reduce the spread.
Kuwait also started today the largest evacuation of its citizens from abroad, expected to reach 40 thousand people from 16 cities in the world, who will be sent back through 75 trips over 3 days in the first stage, imposing a home quarantine on them and following up their cases through the application of “Shlonk”.
The infected with Coronavirus from the Indian community up till today is 1085 cases, and it appears that the number can be increased due to the announcement by the Ministry of Health of the presence of infected cases linked to travel to India, as well as the announcement of cases of Indian nationality due to their mixing with cases that are still under epidemiological investigation and are also residents of Indian community, as well as cases within the epidemiological investigation of residents of the Indian community.
